PACIFIC PRINCESS resumed
after a spell to lift the RM150,000 NSF Queen Of The Turf over 1400m at
Sungei Besi here today, defeating her older half-sister TURF SPEC who had
won the same race when it was held in Penang in December last year.
With the closure of the
Penang racetrack for major repairs, the end-of-season Penang Gold Cup
meeting is being staged here for the first time in its history.
PACIFIC PRINCESS (Pacific
Prince - Bonhomie Gal by Bletchley Park) won by two lengths and brought Noel
Callow one win closer to lifting the champion jockey crown for the 2010 in
Malaysia.
Callow now trails Azhar
Ismail by just one win going into the final day of the season tomorrow, but
one more win will suffice for the Australian as he has far more second
placings than Azhar.
