Just three horses were brave enough to take on ROCKET MAN in the inaugural running of the S$200,000 Garden City Trophy over 1200m at Kranji tonight.

But they were all left trailing in his wake as the Singapore champion sprinter cruised to a 4 1/4-length victory in a time of 1 min 8.82 secs which is just over a second off the track record held by SACRED KINGDOM.

With the victory, his 11th in 14 outings, ROCKET MAN (Viscount - Macrosa by Mr McGinty) is now all set to once again to take the top sprinters in the world in the Group 2 Jockey Club Sprint in November and the Group 1 Hong Kong Sprint in December.

ROCKET MAN has thus far been luckless against international company, finishing second in the KrisFlyer International Sprint last year and again this year, and also second in the Golden Shaheen in Dubai last March.
