Rocket Man too speed in Lion City Cup

ROCKET MAN claimed his second Lion City Cup in devastating fashion at Kranji today, leaving no doubt that he is ready to tackle some of the world's leading sprinters in the Group 1 KrisFlyer International Sprint next month.

Last year's victory in Singapore's premier 1200m sprint was followed by a gallant second in the KrisFlyer International Sprint, beaten a neck by Hong Kong's SACRED KINGDOM in course record time.

ROCKET MAN was distinctly unlucky when beaten half a length in the Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen in Dubai last month, when jockey Robbie Fradd admitted it was not "one of my best rides."

But Fradd made amends this time around as ROCKET MAN took command on settling down, staved off the challenge of MEXICAN ROSE and went to win 2 1/4 lengths.
