Australian galloper ROAD TO
ROCK (Encosta De Lago - Treworbnan by Midyan) has pulled out of the S$3m
Singapore Airlines International Cup on May 16 to concentrate on the
Brisbane winter carnival instead.
Trainer Anthony Cummings said he discussed with the horse’s owners yesterday
before they made the decision, which basically hinged around the recent
Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner’s future as a stallion prospect.
“We are trying to sell him as a stallion and the races here are in front of
the people you are trying to sell to,” Cummings told Australian racing
website racenet.com.au.
ROAD TO ROCK, who also won the Group 1 George Main Stakes last year, has
been targeted at the Group 2 Hollindale Stakes (1800m) at the Gold Coast on
May 8 and the Group 1 Doomben Cup (2020m) a fortnight later. |
