Saifudin in limelight with double

Local rider Saifudin Ismail had his best meeting for some time when he booted home a double astride ARJUNA and YOYO on the polytrack at Kranji here tonight.

Saifudin has ridden ARJUNA (Dixieland Band - Hafifah by Machiavellian) in all but one of the gelding's eight starts and tonight's success was his third on the American three-year-old who was sold for US$105,000 as a foal and won once in five starts in Ireland before coming to Singapore.

For YOYO (Bradbury's Luck - Cyclonic Miss by Hurricane Sky), it was his second win in four starts. The double brought Saifudin's tally to 18 for the season.

Sharing riding honours with Saifudin this evening was Danny Beasley who was successful on SMITTEN KITTEN (Handsome Ransom - Catania by Centaine), who returned to winning form after a lapse of more than 13 months, and IMPERIAL KNIGHT (Falvelon - Dancing Fame by Alquoz), who recorded his second win after three unplaced starts.
