Sazonar bags Wilayah Silver Bowl

KUALA LUMPUR,  February 7, 2010

SAZONAR made it three wins from four starts in Malaysia with a gutsy display in the RM95,000 Wilayah Silver Bowl at Sungei Besi here today.

Ridden by Benny Woodworth, SAZONAR (Bertolini - On L'Etage by Dance Floor) led all the way in the Table 1 Race - 1600m race, hanging on to score by a neck from the well-performed FIGHTER JET and GOOD NATURE.

SAZONAR, winner of three races in 33 starts in Australia including two wins at Sandown, seems to be hitting his best form after turning six and in his new environment.

Jockey Azhar Ismail and trainer Kevin Coetzee combined to win three races with expensive imports FLYING CAT and SPEED BABY, and  classic winner PROFESSIONAL MAN for Golden Knight Stable.

Debutant FLYING CAT (Tale Of The Cat - Miss Chakra by Marscay) had cost A$180,000 as a yearling while SPEED BABY (Fastnet Rock - Twisted Heart by Distorted Humor), who made it two wins from two, cost Golden Knight Stable A$280,000 as a yearling.

PROFESSIONAL MAN (Royal Academy - Mi Signora by Mi Preferido) won the Yang Di Pertua Negeri Gold Cup in 2008 but finished fifth in the same event in December.
