Three horses scored in
their Singapore debut at Kranji this evening, starting with the unraced
newcomer SHINING GLORY in the Restricted Maiden - 1200m event. All races
were run on the polytrack.
SHINING GLORY (Desert Sun -
Let's Split by Royal Academy) made all the running and although tiring in
the concluding stages, held on to win by 1 1/4 lengths.
OVER THE RAINBOW (Elusive
Quality - River Express by Blazing Sword), a A$475,000 yearling who managed
just one win in seven starts in Australia, won drawing away in the Class 4 -
1000m sprint.
VALIANT KNIGHT (Desert
Style - Senebrova by Warning) re-launched his career with a hard-fought
victory in the Class 4 - 1100m sprint.
Winner of one his nine runs
at two in England, the Irish gelding had just one run (in June) last year
before landing in Singapore last September.
