Australian jockey Brent Stanley failed in his appeal against a one-year disqualification for his handling of JERAM CORPORATE in a Class 4 - 1400m handicap at Sungei Besi on Oct 11 last year.

Frank Maynard-trained JERAM CORPORATE, who started favourite, came from last at the home turn to finish seventh to MY DARLING ANGEL.

On Oct 23 last year, Stanley was charged under MRA Rule 44(8) and handed a one-year disqualification.

The Selangor Turf Club racing stewards continued the hearing of his appeal here today.

After considering submissions from Stanley, his counsel and the chief stipendiary steward, the Racing Stewards dismissed the appeal and his deposit was forfeited.
