VELOCITY, who managed just
one win in 15 starts in Ireland, has picked up his first win in Singapore in
just his second start at Kranji in the Class 4, Div 2 - 1200m sprint here
tonight.
After an eye-catching
fourth in his debut last month, the English four-year-old stepped up on that
effort to win by 1 3/4 lengths from last-start winner RISE THE LIMIT and the
favourite LADY TRIO.
After two seasons of
campaign, VELOCITY (Mark Of Esteem - Yellow Ribbon by Hamas) was sold for
€12,500 at the Goffs Horses In Training Sale. And he is quickly paying
dividends at his new 'home'.
And already proving to a
money-spinner in Singapore is MR TIMELY who chalked up his fifth win from 10
starts at Kranji in the Benchmark 97 - 1200m handicap.
MR TIMELY (Street Cry -
Snowcisco by Machiavellian) raced thrice for a win in soft going in
Australia and relished the wet condition tonight to score, although three of
his previous wins had been on the polytrack.
