All Rise to a spectacular upset

PENANG:  May 15, 2011

ALL RISE (Repriced - Bluegrass Lassie by Irish River) showed his liking for the 'soft' going with a spectacular upset in a Class 4 - 1200m sprint here today.

Early last year, the American gelding registered his maiden win on a yielding track and back in Feburary, was successful again in soft going.

After four disappointing runs since then, ALL RISE came from a long way back early to beat the favourite MONEY TRAP by half a length to pay RM838 for a win.

Favourites were again completely wiped out for a second consecutive day.

Nine-year-old BAMBAAZON (Flying Spur - Treasury Gardens by Bellotto) scored his first win since March last year to pay RM321 for a win.  It was his sixth win in 67 starts, after having scored twice in Austrralia.
