Bonny Ng saddles first winner in comeback

Bonny Ng, who returned to the trainer's ranks earlier this season after taking a hiatus for a few years, saddled his first winner in his comeback when EXCELEBRATE was successful in a Class 4 - 1200m sprint here today.

Costing A$230,000 as a yearling, the mare was placed four times in six starts in Australia.

She showed up for the first time in nine starts in Malaysia last time out when beaten a short head by JERAM NATURAL over 1400m at Sungei Besi last month.

Ridden by S Salee today, EXCELEBRATE (Exceed And Excel - Multiple Wins by Sea Salute) finally broke the ice when she coasted home by three and a half lengths.
