Glen Boss off the mark with a double

After drawing a blank from eight rides on Friday, Glen Boss opened his accounts on his three-month stint in Singapore with a double at Kranji here today.

Boss, who was last here in November when he partnered the Steven Burridge-trained RISKY BUSINESS to victory in the Singapore Gold Cup, teamed up with the trainer again to score on RARE EARTH in the Restricted Maiden - 1200m sprint.

A first-up second last month, RARE EARTH (Stravinsky - Mountain Mist by Kaapstad) started a raging favourite and duly obliged with an all-the-way win.

"It was certainly good to get that win out of the way," Boss said after the win. But he was not finished yet.

Boss, who rode the super mare MAKYBE DIVA to three consecutive Malbourne Cup victories, then completed a double on the Brian Dean-trained THAT'STHEONE (Zedrich - Snow Rancher by Rancher).
