Former Singapore galloper
BREADWINNER found a new lease of life to capture the RM95,000 Dr Lim Ah Soo
Trophy here today, 18 months after his last success in January last year.
The six-year-old proved an
useful sort at Kranji where he won seven times in 42 starts but a series of
disappointing runs saw him crossed the causeway to join Mohd Sukri at Sungei
Besi.
Racing for the first time
in Malaysia today, BREADWINNER (El Moxie - Edgecliff by Sea Anchor) caused a
surprise when he accounted for two fancied runners to win by one length and
paid RM248 for a win.
The other feature race
today, the RM65,000 Tattersalls Trophy (Restricted Maiden - 1200m) went to
NEW DAWN (Shovhog - Champagne Gold by Made Of Gold).
Placed five times in his
first seven outings, Brazilian jockey Jose De Souza got the three-year-old
home a head of OUR FAITH.
