Callow returns with a double strike

KUALA LUMPUR:  Feb 5, 2011

Noel Callow, who narrowly lost out to Azhar Ismail in the battle for the jockey's title last year, has begun 2011 with a 'bang' when he scored on his first two rides of the new season.

Fresh from taking a break back in Australia, Callow returned to the circuit and immediately set out to do what he does best.

Callow, champion jockey in Singapore in 2007, worked his magic on ICY DOMAIN (Volksraad - Ice Cap by Kaapstad) in the opening event, steering the six-year-old to his maiden win in 22 starts.

Two races later, Callow was on target again on BUKIT TINGGI (Blevic - Deborah's Daughter by Real Cash) who notched his third win in 12 starts.
