Smashing win by Colin The Firth

KUALA LUMPUR:  Oct 30, 2011

COLIN THE FIRTH, who beat all but TEARS TO DIAMONDS in his debut last June, stepped up on that run to score a sensational win in the Restricted Maiden - 1200m sprint at Sungei Besi here today.

Resuming after more than four months, COLIN THE FIRTH (All Bar One - Orchis by Octagonal) showed vast improvement when he ran his rivals off their feet to win by eight and a half lengths.

It is interesting to note that TEARS TO DIAMONDS have gone on to win three more races since, including the Kelang Silver Bowl yesterday.

COLIN THE FIRTH cost just A$12,500 at the Horses In Training Sale and could turn out to be a real bargain buy for owners Colin Racing Stable.
