Ridden for the first time
by Jose De Souza, the American three-year-old was hard-pressed but prevailed
by a head to pay RM886 for a win.
After a somewhat
disappointing stint in Singapore during which he managed a win and three
placings from eight starts, RAMJET (More Than Ready - Macrosa by Mr
McGinty) got his campaign in Malaysia off a flying start when he romped to
an easy win in a Class 4 - 1200m handicap.
Partnered for the first
time by Oscar Chavez, the four-year-old half-brother to champion sprinter
ROCKET MAN was just too good for his rivals, winning by four and a quarter
lengths.
