GINGERBREAD MAN bounced back to form to capture the S$250,000 Singapore Three-Year-Old Sprint, the first leg of the Singapore Three-Year-Old Challenge, over 1200m at Kranji here tonight.

Winner of the Juvenile Championship last season, the colt was unplaced for the first time in eight starts last time out when pitted against Kranji Stakes A company and tested over 1600m for the first time.

Ridden by this season's leading jockey Vlad Duric, GINGERBREAD MAN (Shamardal - Quaffle by Hurricane Sky) came from just off the pace to take the lead in the home stretch, then held off the challenge of EXCAVATOR to win by a head.

It was the sixth win in nine starts for colt who was sold for A$30,000 as a yearling but was passed in at A$50,000) at the Horses in Training Sale. He has now amassed more than S$420,000 as prizemoney.
