Golan reaches new Heights

A year ago, GOLAN HEIGHTS was struggling to get off the mark even in the lower classes. Six unplaced runs in Singapore was followed by another three outings in Malaysia, the last of which resulted in a second placing.

After his breakthrough win in June last year and a subsequent six-month spell, the five-year-old has gone from strength to strength this season.

Ridden by L Sofhan, GOLAN HEIGHTS (Golan - Imps Love by Spectacular Love) was hard pressed but prevailed by a head in winning the mixed Classes 1 & 2 handicap over 2000m here today. It was his sixth win in his last eight starts.

After a run of five consecutive placings, FABERGE (Magic Of Money - Daringly by Bletchingly) broke through for his maiden win in a Class 5 - 1200m sprint for Malaysian breds.
