COFFEESHOP GOSSIP (El Moxie
- Manzie De Lago - Encosta De Lago), who broke through for his maiden win in
Malaysia last week, completed a double with another easy victory in a Class
4 - 1400m sprint here today.
Ridden again by apprentice
Lai Kin Man, the Australian five-year-old revelled in the heavy going to win
by six and a quarter lengths.
The gelding had five starts
at three in Australia, managing a win over 1600m at Sale and a third over
1400m at Geelong.
FLAMING BOLT (Tale Of The
Cat - Willow Brook by Sir Tristram) is another who relished the track
condition today, winning by seven and a half lengths in another Class 4 -
1400m handicap.
The Australian gelding, who
cost A$120,000 as a yearling, managed just two placings in Australia. He
then registered two wins in Singapore in 2009 but poor form after saw him
moved to Malaysia.
But it was under the
Irishman Thomas Gillespie that FLAMING BOLT regained his form, and has now
two wins and a second from his kast three starts.
