Gary Hind off the mark in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR:  June 12, 2011

English jockey Gary Hind, who arrived early for the International Jockeys Championship in conjunction with the running of the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor, was rewarded with a winner at Sungei Besi here today.

Partnering GOOD FEEL (Hunza Court - Gleaming Day by Gleam Machine) for his fifth ride of the weekend, Hind did not hesitate to take the six-year-old to the front and made all the running to win the Seoul Stakes (Classes 1 & 2 - 1600m) by two and a quarter lengths.

GOOD FEEL won seven times in 24 starts in Singapore and today's outing was his third in Malaysia. Having not win since March last year, he was neglected in the betting and paid RM407 on the win tote.

Malaysia is the 36th stop for the globe-trotting jockey who is currently based in the Czech Republic.
