Jockey-turned-trainer
Leslie Khoo saddled three winners at Kranji tonight to take sole second
place in the table and looks likely to stay in that position with just one
racing day to go.
Just four seasons ago, the
Singapore born former champion jockey returned to Singapore to continue
training after a highly successful career based in Ipoh where he finished
runner-up in Malaysia in 2003.
In his debut season at
Kranji in 2008, Khoo saddled just five winners. But he has enjoyed a
tremendous run this season and achieved a personal best four winners last
June 24. His treble tonight brought
his tally for the season to 66 wins.
Khoo had a winning start to
the evening when he sent out GRAND WOOD PARK (Elusive Quality - Ensejaam by
End Sweep) to win after four starts.
GYPSY MAGIC (Intergaze -
Pensiamo by Sovereign Red) chalked up his third win in 30 outings to give
Khoo his second of the evening and SEE ME WIN (Al Maher - Giginka by Gleam
Machine) finally did not his name suggests in his 16th start and rounded up
another splendid evening for Khoo.
