Long journey back for former Kranji duo

IPOH:  June 4, 2011

It has been a long journey back to winning form for former Singapore gallopers KYOTO and SUPERB INCREDIBLE.

KYOTO (Ekraar - Okinawa by Shinko King) managed one win in 11 starts at Kranji, that success coming in September 2009.

Transferred to Hoy Kee Poh in Ipoh last year, the five-year-old resumed after a seven-month break and showed up for the first time in four starts in Malaysia with a second to BEST WRESTLER here in April and followed up on that run to win a Class 4 - 1600m handicap here today.

SUPERB INCREDIBLE (Al Akbar - Good Hearted by Kinjite) scored twice over 1600m in 22 starts in Singapore with his last success achieved in February last year.

Sent over to Simon Liew early this year, the five-year-old scored a narrow victory in the Class 4 - 2000m handicap. It was his fourth outing in Malaysia.
