Macau back in form with Cup win

Sponsors of the inaugural Star River - Windsor Arch Cup at Kranji tonight could not have asked for a more appropriate winner than MACAU.

The Class 3 - 1100m sprint on the polytrack was sponsored by Victory Real Estate Development Co Ltd, a real estate developer based in Macau.

After a series of placings since his last win back in June, MACAU (Fastnet Rock - La Campanella by More Than Ready) returned to the winner's circle with a handsome win. It was the four-year-old's fourth win in 10 starts.

Classy South African import LIZARRE, meanwhile, was off the mark in Singapore with a runaway win in the Class 3 - 1700m handicap.

The five-year-old found one to beat in his first two starts in Singapore but made no mistake this time as he cruised home by three and three-quarter lengths.

A listed winner over 1600m in South Africa, LIZARRE (Jet Master - Leading Dame by Jallad) was also third in the Group 1 Two Thousand Guineas (2000m).
