Jamal Malik scores sixth win in Singapore

JAMAL MALIK, who went down to ESCAMONDA in the New Year Cup on the polytrack early this month, stepped up on that run to win the Benchmark 97 - 1600m handicap at Kranji here today.

Installed favourite in the eight-horse field, the Argentinean gelding had to overcome a slow start to notch up his sixth win in 13 starts in Singapore.

JAMAL MALIK (Not For Sale - Capela Da Medalha by Salt Lake) had seven starts back in Argentina for a win and three placings.

Former champion jockey Saimee Jumaat returned to riding this week after a three-week holiday to land a double on TROPICAL FOREST (Enforcer - De Grey by Paris House) and WILLIAMS (Elusive City - Itti Bit by Biugstone).
