Crabbia and Shaw celebrate with a double

The Singapore Turf Club celebrated the success of ROCKET MAN in the Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen with a victory parade after the running of Race 5 at Kranji this evening.

But the celebration started early for owner Fred Crabbia and trainer Patrick Shaw when they scored back-to-back wins with IRISH LIGHTNING and TAKIS ahead of the parade.

After finishing fourth in his initial two starts, IRISH LIGHTNING (Rock Of Gibraltar - Bold Demand by Red Ransom) broke through with a five and a hakf-length win in the Restricted Maiden - 1000m sprint.

TAKIS (Silvano - Odaratum by Shoe Danziq) also found the mark in his third outing, winning the Initiation - 1600m event by three quarters of a length.
