STEALTH, who found one to
beat five times from seven starts earlier this season, made a breakthrough
when he captured the RM95,000 Dato Yeoh Cheang Lee Trophy over 1600m here
today.
The former Singapore
galloper had won back-to-back in October last year but luck deserted him
this season until today, when he accounted for a good field of horses in
this Table 1 contest.
STEALTH (Sakura Seeking -
Larrikin Lady by Icelandic) had won six races at Kranji before moving up
north to join trainer Malcolm Thwaites. His win today was his first for his
new trainer John Brink who completed a double for the day with EXCELLENT
GOAL (Black Minnaloushe - Miss Sacha by Kaapstad).
CHINA ANGEL (Nuclear Freeze
- I'm Classy by Torrential) recorded her biggest win yet when she triumphed
in the National Stud Farm Golden Tiara for Malaysian bred fillies and mares
over 1200m. It was her fifth win in 29 starts. Her biggest win previously
was the NSF Silver Bowl in 2009.
