Ronnie Stewart had his best
meeting for a while when he booted home three winners from a full book of
nine rides at Kranji here tonight.
EATONS GOLD (Jet Spur -
Road Ranger by Encosta De Lago), beaten three and a half lengths into second
place last time out, was off the mark in his third start in Singapore,
winning by the same margin in the Initiation - 1200m sprint on the polytrack.
The Australian gelding, who
was sold for NZ$72,500 as a yearling, was unplaced in one start in New
Zealand before coming up to Singapore.
WINONTOP (California Dane -
Lycme by Canny Lad), who was off the mark in his second outing in Restricted
Maiden company last time out, made it a double when he upset the odds-on
favourite IP MAN to win the Novice - 1200m sprint.
Stewart's third winner MAHA
VEERAN (Falvelon - Kybamar by Marscay)bounced back to form after 24 months
to record his second win in 38 starts to take the Class 5, Div 2 - 1200m
sprint.
