Classy import SUPER EASY
made it three wins from three starts in Singapore when he defied a promotion
to win the Class 3 - 1200m sprint at Kranji here tonight.
The New Zealand colt was
purchased by trainer Michael Freedman for NZ$140,000 as a yearling and made
a winning start as a juvenile at Trentham.
He then ran second to
ANABANDANA in the Group 3 Eclipse Stakes at Ellerslie before finishing
fourth to FORT LINCOLN in the listed NZ$1mil Karaka Million also at
Ellerslie.
SUPER EASY (Darci Brahma -
Parfore by Gold Brose) wasted no time reproducing that sort of form in
Singapore winning first-up in Class 4 followed by another runaway win in
Class 3 last month.
With Joao Moreira in the
saddle once again, SUPER EASY started odds-on and led his rivals on a merry
chase to win by one and a half lengths.
"He’s
done a very good job to go from Class 4 to a Class 2 in just his three
starts here in Singapore. I’m not too sure what there is around for him, but
I’m sure of one thing, he’s got a pretty good future here in Singapore,"
said Freedman.
