THE HAWK made it four
consecutive victories with another commanding performance in a Class 4 -
1600m handicap in this special novelty meeting at Sungei Besi here today.
Partnered by apprentice S
Mutaza, the five-year-old easily defeated six home based horses to win by
one and a quarter lengths.
THE HAWK (Black Hawk -
Eliza Park by Scenic) had a late start to his racing career after being
picked up by trainer Barry Brogan for A$30,000 as a three-year-old at a
Horses In Training Sale.
He made his debut only last
October and has started only seven times since.
CABADBARAN (Platinum
Scissors - Mother's Help by Christmas Tree), who had finished down the field
in four previous starts in Malaysia, created the biggest upset of the season
yet in a Class 4 - 1200m sprint.
This is the first day the
three Malaysia clubs switched the win and place unit from RM5 per bet to
RM10. Cabadbaran paid RM921 for a win.
