TOPS A WIN, who provided
trainer Aditiyan Selvaratnam with his first win of the 2001 season last
month, has doubled the score with a runaway win in the Class 3 - 1200m
sprint here today.
Whereas the five-year-old
won by the narrowest margin of a nose in his Malaysian debut last month,
this time he relished the soft track to win by two and three-quarter
lengths.
Costing A$60,000 as a
yearling, TOPS A WIN (Danewin - Top Tips by Canny Lad) won twice — at
Gosford and Wyong — from seven starts in Australia before coming to
Malaysia.
After finishing on board in
five consecutive starts, BANKS' GIFT (Over - Golf Circuit by Groucho)
finally broke the duck in Malaysia with a runaway win in the Class 2 - 1600m
handicap.
The five-year-old, who won
at Rosehill and was thrice Group placed including a second in the Group 2
Pago Pago Stakes, managed one win from seven starts before moving to
Malaysia to continue his racing.
