Winner Takes All in Sprint Vase

KUALA LUMPUR:  August 6, 2011

Placed six times in eight starts since his last success in April last year, WINNER TAKES ALL finally has a change of fortune with a change of name this season when he captured the RM60,000 National Stud Farm Sprint Vase over 1100m at Sungei Besi here today.

A consistent sort since making his debut in November 2008, the Malaysian gelding initially raced as CONJURE won four of his first nine starts before going through an exasperating sequence of placings.

On this same track last time out, WINNER TAKES ALL (Magic Of Money - Kuala Lady by Centaine) was beaten a short head in the RM200,000 NSF Challenge Cup over 1600m.

Despite coming back in distance today, WINNER TAKES ALL proved too speedy as he won by half a length.
