Alacarte serves up another win

KUALA LUMPUR:  June 9, 2012

ALACARTE, who found instant success in Malaysia last time out after going through a lean spell at Kranji, has made it two wins from two after accounting for a Class 3 field over 1600m at Sungei Besi here today.

The five-year-old had won over the same course and distance in Class 4 last start but found the step up in Class a breeze when he coasted home by one and half lengths with Jackson Low in the saddle.

Purchased for A$130,000 at the Horses In Training sale, ALACARTE (Umatilla - Enchre by Final Card) won five times in 40 starts at Kranji and was a three-year-old there, finishing second in the Group 2 Singapore 3YO Classic and fourth in the Group 1 Singapore Guineas.

Now trained by Richard Lines for owner Jack Mock, the Australian gelding is once again showing his true form.
