MR AMBASSADOR (Danasinga -
Scotch And Water by Lake Coniston) resumed from a four-month let-up and
quickly made up for lost time to win the Classes 1 & 2 - 1700m handicap here
today.
The New Zealand gelding
came with a big reputation of having won one race in his native country and
five more in Australia including the Group 3 Randwick City Stakes (2000m).
It took a while for the now
seven-year-old to show his true worth since arriving in Malaysia but he is
definitely on top of his game now.
Last April, MR AMBASSADOR
broke through with an all-the-way victory in the Perak Derby and followed up
with a gallant second to SPEED BABY in the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor two
months later.
Making his first start
since, MR AMBASSADOR was a little rusty but still proved too good for his
rivals today.
