ATO (Royal Academy - Another Legend by Lyphard's Wish) boosted his chances of representing Singapore in the Hong Kong Sprint this December with another winning display in the S$200,000 Saas Fee Stakes over 1400m at Kranji here today.

The South African horse already has a international Group 1 win ton his credit after winning the KrisFlyer International Sprint back in May.

ATO followed that success by winning the Patrons' Bowl (1600m) and three starts later, is back in the winner's circle in the Saas Fee Stakes.

Ridden by Barend Vorster, the five-year-old was always travelling well, sitting behind the pacemaker HOT GOLD before surging to the lead to win by one and a quarter lengths.

"He has done us so proud this horse,” said trainer Patrick Shaw. “He has done whatever we have asked of him."

The trainer's plan is to give him another run before heading to Hong Kong. "Hopefully he can run into a place in Hong Kong and maybe even win it."

ATO has now chalked up nine wins in 25 starts, including four group wins.
