Azman begins new season with double

IPOH:  Dec 31, 2012

Trainer Nor Azman, who came on the scene just two weeks ago and saddled his first winner in his second day on the job, has started the 2012 racing season which began here today on a superb note.

The former assistant to Australian trainer John McGillivray, who bowed out at the end of last season, captured the first two races of the new season on a day when home based trainer won seven of the nine races contested.

LUCKY SORCERER (Lucky Owners - Spell On You by Irish River) returned to form after more than 12 months to cause a mild upset in the opening event. It was only his second win in 23 starts.

UNDOUBTEDLY CLEVER (Undoubtedly - Clever Clogs by Woodman), who has twice spent months on the sidelines since making his debut in September 2010, resumed racing with another mild upset, his first win in six starts.
