Good Baby makes amends in Gold Vase

GOOD BABY returning to scale with Azhar Ismail astride

GOOD BABY, beaten favourite when third in the Penang Sprint Trophy last time out, quickly made amends by capturing the RM400,000 Sultan Gold Vase over the 1100m straight course here today.

This is the second big race success for the Australian four-year-old who announced his arrival on the big stage when winning the RM1mil Malaysia Magic Millions Classic in Penang last December.

Ridden by Azhar Ismail, GOOD BABY (Hussonet - Secret Haze by Danehill) was tucked just off the pace before overhauling the front-running and favourite COLIN THE FIRTH, winner of the Malaysia 3YO Championship early this month.

GOOD BABY has now chalked up seven wins and four placings in 16 starts, bringing his earnings to just over the RM1,050,000 mark.
