Bahen running tall in second consecutive win

The clash between BAHEN and RUNNING TALL, who had both won their Singapore debut last month, turned out to a thriller in the Graduation - 1200m sprint at Kranji today.

BAHEN (Tale Of The Cat - Mistinquett by Switch In Time), who cost A$100,000 as a yearling, was placed twice at Caulfield before winning at Goulburn in seven starts in Australia.

RUNNING TALL (Stratum - Fleeting Touch by Touch Gold), purchased for A$500,000 at the Easter Yearling Sale, contested against the best juveniles, winning the Group 2 VRC Sires' Produce Stakes and was placed second in the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude and third in the Group 3 Maribyrnong Plate. He also contested in the Blue Diamond Stakes Golden Slipper and Champagne Stakes.

While the three-year-old RUNNING TALL started odds-on on his Australian form, it was the year older BAHEN who got the better of him after a keen tussle, winning by a neck.
