SI BRAVO (Orpen - Florida
Gal by Tolomeo), who returned to form last time out to win in Class 5,
scored the second biggest upset of the season when he defied a promotion to
win a Class 4 - 1100m sprint over the straight course here today.
Partnered by Lou Ho, the
eight-year-old won by half a length to pay RM970 for win, second only to the
RM1,022 payout by THARA on May 5 in Penang.
Heavy overnight and early
morning rain rendered the track 'heavy' and five of the eight winners paid
three-figure dividend.
First-time winners BALE (Nadeem - Sacred Hill
by Langfuhr) and BANCHORY (Rakti - Hafla by At Talaq) paid RM312 and RM132
respectively. TOUCH
LUCK (Fusaichi Pegasus - Yellow And Black by Western Symphony) returned to
form after 29 months to pay RM124.
MERSING (Distant Music - Mrs Krause by
Grosvenor) sprang back to form after three runs to pay RM256.
