Sungei Besi is turning out
to a fortress for home based trainers in the new racing season. Thus far,
they have won 38 of 41 races staged i the capital in 2012.
Kuala Lumpur trainers, led
by Barry Brogan with four winners, have another dominant afternoon today
when they won eight of the nine races contested.
Brogan, who had a rather
quiet season by his standard in 2011 with just 21 winners, took the first
two races with Malaysian bred FIRST LADY (Magic Of Money - Cendrillon by
Military Plume) and THE TURTLE (Honours List - Your Kiss by Langfuhr).
YARGU (Honours List -
Missin' Trish by Wallenda), who returned to form to register his second win
only last Monday, scored again to give Brogan his third winner of the day.
SUPER COP (Pacific Prince -
Pretty Showy by Noble Bijou) made it a double for Malaysian breds and
provided Brogan with his fourth winner of the afternoon. The quadruple also
pushed Brogan to the top of the trainer's table with nine winners.
