Good day to pick up chance mounts

IPOH:  June 2, 2012

It was a good day for jockeys who picked up chance rides today as four of them were successful this way, winning five races.

First to benefit was Mohd Eirwan Khalid who guided HUMBLE HARVEST (Bahhare - Famette by Famous Star) to an runaway win, replacing jockey Jai Shankar.

Another Shankar's nominated mount, FEARED (More Than Ready - Merlene by Danehill) was picked up by Jackson Low and the champion jockey had an armchair ride, winning by seven and three-quarter lengths in a Class 5 - 1400m handicap.

Bukhari Abduk Hamid, who returned to riding a couple of months ago after more than a decade off the scene, was the luckiest jockey today, landing a double on chance rides VIBRANT SPIRIT (Citidancer - Star Party by Star Pak) and EMPEROR QIAN LONG (Fusaichi Pegasus - A Slew Indeed by Seattle Slew).

KIM MOON STAR (Agincourt -After All by Skilful Star), who has not won for early two and half years, returned to winning form in a Class 5 - 1800m handicap to give Mohd Fadzlei Ismail an unexpected win.
