No catching Chase Me in Chairman's Trophy

Just 14 days after scoring a runaway eight length-win in the Emirates Singapore Derby for four-year-olds, CHASE ME took on all-comers in the S$300,000 Chairman's Trophy and again proved hard to catch in the 1800m contest at Kranji here today.

In winning the Group 2 weight-for-age event, CHASE ME (Storm Creek - Cartier Gold by Gold Brose) beat three well-performed horses in FLYING FULTON, WAIKATO and EL DORADO.

Ridden by Joao Moreira who also partnered him in the Derby, CHASE ME again came from midfield to run down the front-running FLYING FULTON to win by two lengths.

"There was a thought to give him a break after the Derby but he was doing so well that I decided to let him run in the Chairman’s Trophy," said winning trainer Desmond Koh.

CHASE ME will now for a deserved break before coming back for the Triple Crown Series.
