COLIN THE FIRTH coasting to an easy win in the Malaysia 3YO
Championship final in Penang

COLIN THE FIRTH (All Bar One - Orchis by Octagonal) put in yet another superb performance to claim the revived Malaysia 3YO Championship which this year is organised and funded by the three Malaysian clubs themselves.

The 2012, which saw a total of RM780,000 in prizemoney being dished out in a series of qualifying races in Penang, Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur, ended with the RM200,000 championship final being staged over 1400m here today.

COLIN THE FIRTH, who came out from a four-month let-up to win by five and a half lengths at Sungei Besi on May 6, follow up on that form to win by one and a quarter lengths with Eirwan Khalid in the saddle.

Trained by John Brink, the Australian gelding has now won five times in seven starts and picked up mroe than RM300,000 in prizemoney, not bad for a horse who was purchased by his owners for just A$12,500 at the horses in training sale.
