This season's leading jockey Eirwan Kahlid is
making hay while the sun shines.
The
prospect of a four-month suspension did not
stop him from booting home a treble in Ipoh here today, taking his tally for
the season to 42 wins, well clear of Jai Shankar and Jose De Souza, both on
32 wins.
Eirwan took over the ride on last-start
winner DARMORE (Good Reward - Fat Chants by War Chant) and made no mistake
with the American gelding who cost just US$2,000 as a yearling.
Eirwan then worked his magic on DALMATION
(Viking Ruler - Tina Temple by Diamond Express) who finished down the field
in his last four starts and had a recent change of name from BIG RED POINT.
Eirwan's third winner was the
biggest surprise of the day. Mlaysian bred MONEY NOT ENOUGH (Dolphin Street - Imperial Girl by Stylish
Century), led all the way for his fifth win in 30 starts to pay RM270.
