Emerald Hill shines again at Kranji

Three months after finishing last, 35 lengths behind the winner in his only start in the United States, EMERALD HILL landed in Singapore for trainer John O'Hara.

It was to be another 12 months before the American gelding makes his Kranji debut but it has been worth the wait for his connections.

EMERALD HILL (Sharp Humor - You Glitter Girl by Glitterman) led all the way to win by six lengths in Maiden company last month and followed up tonight with another five-and-a-half-length victory in Graduation company over 1000m on the polytrack.

The victory have jockey Saifudin Ismail with the perfect birthday present. The Penangite described the three-year-old as "one of the fastest horses that I’ve ridden for a long time."

The odds-on favourite, did give his backer some anxious moments when he broke through the gates before the start and has to be re-loaded.
