After a six-month layoff,
BIRTHDAY GIFT (Black Minnaloushe - Soneri by Stark South) has returned to
racing this season unbeaten in four starts after his easy victory in the
Kranji Stakes C sprint over 1200m sprint on the polytrack at Kranji this
evening.
In registering his fifth
win in seven starts, the New Zealand four-year-old also presented Malaysian
based apprentice Zuriman Che Zulkifli with his first win at Kranji in 20
attempts this season. It was his only ride for the evening.
Trained by Leslie Khoo,
BIRTHDAY GIFT scored a runaway win in his debut in July last year and after
two subsequent third placings, he was forced into the sidelines due to shin
sore.
Meanwhile, newcomer GRAND
APPROACH (Galileo - Grand Mosque by Faltaat), who won two races in 11 starts
in Perth for his owners, scored a first-up win in Singapore when taking out
the Class 4, Div 1 - 1200m handicap.
