Easily the standout two and
three year old of his time, GINGERBREAD MAN (Shamardal - Quaffle by
Hurricane Sky) has taken the first step to asset his superiority as the top
four-year-old this season with his victory in the Group 2 S$300,000
Stewards' Cup over 1400m at Kranji here today.
The Australian entire
captured the Juvenile Championship in 2010 and made a clean sweep of the
three-year-old series last season.
After four placings and an
unplaced outing in Dubai, GINGERBREAD MAN finally landed his first win of
the season when racing in his own age group on the Stewards' Cup in which he
came from just off the pace to win by three quarter of a length.
With his recent feet
problems behind him, GINGERBREAD MAN will be hard to run down again in the
next two legs of the challenge series, the Patrons' Bowl (1600m) later this
month and the Emirates Singapore Derby (2000m) next month.
