Humble Prince breaks long standing record

IPOH:  May 26, 2012

HUMBLE PRINCE, who returned to winning form last month after a lapse of 17 months, followed up on that run to lead all the way in the Class 3 - 1100m sprint over the straight course here today.

In the process, the five-year-old rewrote the long standing course record with a time of 1min 0.96secs.

The precious mark had been set by RAPHAEL GOLD, trained by the late Charles Read, when winning the Sultan Gold Vase in 1997 in 1min 1.1sec.

HUMBLE PRINCE (My Halo - Incanto by Magic Ring), now trained by Richard Lines, brought his record to eight wins in 28 starts.
