Rapidly improving KAISER
chalked up his sixth win in 14 starts with another smart display in the
Benchmark 89 - 1000m sprint on the polytrack at Kranji here tonight.
Taking advantage of a light
impost, the three-year-old was tucked just behind the pacemaker HAPPY
EVERYBODY and raced away in the run home to win by one and a half lengths.
The $7 favourite MR BIG was
distinctly unlucky as he jumped awkwardly and badly unbalanced his rider
before battling on to finish third.
But taking nothing away
from KAISER (Seidnazar - One Wink by Perugino) who took his chances well.
BIRTHDAY GIFT (Black
Minnaloushe - Soneri by Stark South), meanwhile, returned from a long layoff
to score first-up in the Novice - 1000m handicap. Before the break, the
four-year-old had recorded a win and two thirds in as many starts.
