Leslie Khoo heads table after splendid treble

WON'T STOP completed a hat-trick to bring up a treble for
trainer Leslie Khoo today - SNTC phto

Trainer Leslie Khoo, who had his best season yet when he finished second in the championship with 66 winners last year, has taken over the lead in the table after saddling a treble at Kranji here today.

The former champion local jockey opened account in the opening race with VOLKOV (Bletchley Park - Riabouchinska by Bellotto) who had found one to beat in two starts this season. It was the gelding's third win in 30 starts.

Khoo made it a double with POPI POPI (Ishiguru - Centrepoint by Gleam Machine) with whom he enjoyed three victories last year and went to to score again with WON'T STOP (Testa Rossa - No Say by Celestial Dancer) who completed a hat-trick of wins.

The latter, who cost just A$10,000 as a yearling, had started five times in Malaysia for two wins and two seconds before his owner decided to send him to Singapore where he has added five more victories to his name from eight outings.
