Lim brothers celebrate first win together

KUALA LUMPUR:  Dec 8, 2012

It was Irish Race Day at the Selangor Turf Club today with three Irish business and organisation sponsoring three races including the Barobyn Racing All Grey Stakes.

In the midst of the Irish celebrations, two brothers teamed up to win for the first time as a jockey and trainer combination.

Wayne Lim was granted his trainer's licence earlier this season while Richard Lim returned to the saddle this year after spending a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a disqualification.

While Richard has ridden three winners across the causeway in his comeback, he has not tasted success in his home country until partnering ROCK AND STONE in the final event today.

The Australian gelding had also provided with Wayne his first success as a trainer back in April and the trainer has now 14 wins to his credit.

Sungei Besi based Irish trainer Barry Brogan, who sponsors the annual Barobyn Racing All Grey Stakes, began the day in style as he celebrated a double with FIRST LADY and UPTHEANTE.
